Hello. If you've stumbled this far, then let me tell you what is the deal with this blog. Basically, this is a blog created by a random girl in that random country in Europe showcasing mostly her sketches or screenshots of works in progress. Done usually in digital or traditional way, if not magic [rare occasions]. Still very raw and inexperienced, firstly influenced by those eastern cartoons called anime, later on by loads of other artists and illustrators and then by fashion, style and glam.
The posts are usually related to drawing; recent purchases, cookings, music discoveries; and sometimes decorated with some camera snapshots of.. things.
Music preferred - japanese rock, indies & visual kei and korean pop or rock. Mainstream got too uninspiring, what a shame.

Arta, Aha! So you live in Latvia. Did somebody tell you about the idiot Russian who dropped a bag on her in an airplane, a few years ago? Well, here is the rest of the story for you: A few years ago we adopted a precious 2½ year old girl from Kaliningrad! We had to travel there twice…it’s a long story. But anyway, at the end of our first trip, when we flew out of Kaliningrad, I remember boarding this small airplane, whose flight originated in Riga.
ReplyDeleteAs we boarded the airplane, what struck me were all the angry faces of the passengers from Riga. I’ve heard that people from Latvia dislike the Russians; they were all looking at us with expressions of hatred! As I was putting my bag into the overhead bin, it somehow slipped from my hands and fell onto the woman sitting below. Although the bag was not heavy, it no doubt was a very unpleasant thing to happen to her.
Not wanting to appear like an idiot American, I profusely apologized to the woman in Russian, which I learned in college. She did not accept my apology or say anything at all.
Wow. Well. There is this something that Latvians have against russians, but I'm most certainly not talking about latvians as a whole - there are just those people scattered in places. There is general bitterness and sometimes latvians don't like that russians who have lived here their whole lives can't even speak a word in the native language [which is latvian].
DeleteSo maybe if you had been speaking English, the lady might not be so stereotypical. :I
Mēs varam "If you'd like, we can exchange blog links - promote each other in our blogs. :]" ?
ReplyDeleteIeliec manu, es ielikšu tad tavu linku kādā vietā.
